$1550.00 raised for Mr Simon Kama ITFPNG travel expenses to NZ for 2 weeks of training and updating. Thanks to Mr Brendan Doogan, Jon Sawden who gave their time and expertise to this venture; Greig Thomasfor donating funds from the sale of his TKD encyclopedia; Auckland's De La Salle College and Mr Kane Raukura for the complimentary use of their facility; Brother Thomas for his inspiration on the day; and all the participants who made this possible. Breaks included hand, foot, and flying techniques all taught by World Championship medalists and/or coaches. Mr Kama will visit NZ later this year.
Kick start 2016 - TARADALE
Get 1 month of FREE introductory Taekwon-Do in a safe environment with motivated and high quality instructors. This is a FREE event spread across 4 weeks, starting on Wednesday 3rd February, 6.00pm-7.00pm at St John Hall, 366 Gloucester Street, Taradale Excluding Waitangi Day, these FREE introductory classes are each Monday and Wednesday.
We have programs tailored for ages 7 years through to adults so the whole family can have and activity together.
Over the 4 weeks you will learn:
- some basic Taekwon-Do techniques such as punches, kicks, blocks and strikes
- simple, practical self defence techniques (releasing from grabs)
- tips on staying safe
- simple strength, stretching & fitness exercises
- co-ordination activities, and more
You will get a chance at kicking focus bags, some flying and jumping kicks. Try out some BOARD BREAKING: There will also be a session where you get to break some boards to test out your newly learnt kicks.
